From a founding vision in 2020 to a multi-country platform delivering at scale — every milestone has been guided by a commitment to sustainable impact.
2020 — Founded
Energy Investment LLC was established with a clear mission: to accelerate the clean energy transition in underserved Central & Eastern European markets through institutional-quality development and investment.
2021 — First Projects
Secured initial land rights and permits for utility-scale solar PV projects in Romania. Established local development teams and began building our EPC capabilities in-house.
2022 — International Expansion
Expanded operations to Malta and the UAE. Launched our battery energy storage division, responding to growing grid-flexibility demand across European energy markets.
2023 — 50 MW Milestone
Surpassed 50 MW of completed renewable capacity. Delivered our 100th project and opened procurement operations in China to secure tier-1 component supply chains.
2024 — Green Hydrogen & Data Centers
Entered the green hydrogen market with electrolyser-based production infrastructure. Began developing hyperscale data center projects powered by dedicated renewable energy supply.
2025 — 500+ MW Pipeline
Scaled our development pipeline to over 500 MW across solar, BESS, hydrogen, and data center projects — positioning Energy Investment as one of Romania's largest renewable energy developers.
